Election Information

There will be a Primary Election for the 19^th District State Senator of Michigan on August 4, 2009.  The General Election for this seat will be held on November 3, 2009. 
 

The Township Clerk, Marilyn McCleary, will be at the Convis Township Hall on the preceding Fridays to the election from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on the preceding Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm for those voters requiring an Absentee Voter application and ballot.  If any Convis Township registered voter would like to be on a permanent absentee voter application list, please submit a written request to the Township Clerk. Prior to each election held in Convis Township, an application for an Absent Voter’s Ballot will be sent to you.

The Michigan Voter Information Center is a very helpful tool, it contains information on current elections, your current voting status, voting locations and procedures for registering to vote.  This is found at www.co.calhoun.mi.us and click on the appropriate election topic area. Just enter your first and last name, month and year of birth and residential zip code. Results of an election can also be found at this location, just click on unofficial results and it will direct you to Election Magic.
